Our presence in Australia dates back to 1953 through local licensees. The Freyssinet you see today was formally established in 1983, following Freyssinet International’s acquisition of a 50% stake in Austress PCS. By 2006, Freyssinet had assumed full ownership of the business. In 2009, the company was rebranded simply as Freyssinet, following a global merger with Soletanche Bachy and the launch of a refreshed international brand identity.

Even prior to full integration, Freyssinet played a pivotal role in Australia’s infrastructure history. In the late 1950s, our founder, Eugène Freyssinet, was personally invited to consult on the construction of Sydney’s Gladesville Bridge — then the world’s longest concrete arch span — where we provided key components including bridge joints and flat jacks.

Today, Freyssinet operates a strong network of offices across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and New Zealand, supporting major projects across the region.
